People always complain about the rain. Earlier this month, our Bel complained that it hadn't rained in Frankfurt. Everything was covered with dust – from the Sahara, no less – and the flowers needed a drink. That makes sense. The Prof complains that it rains too much in Yorkshire, and we won't even talk about Manchester.
In Montana, back in 1920, they seem to have wanted rain – a lot of it. So Chief Turtle performed the Storm Dance. Immediately thereafter, so the photographer tells us, 'the rain came down in torrents.' Rain-making must be a handy skill to have.
