Hello, just want to say I read this and enjoyed it! I always liked the film, I was perhaps 11 years or so old when I saw it first in the theatres, and I was always fascinated by the world created for it. Whatever they might have copied in terms of ideas from other films, whatever 'technical' shortcomings there were, they were immensely original in how they imagined and brought it to life, they did something that had never been done on that level before. I still wonder why we haven't seen more of this kind of film since ... fantasies set in entirely non-human worlds with entirely non-human characters. I think there's still an immense potential for that sort of thing.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
