One addition.
You have your beginners permit - stay off the roads.
Beg steal or borrow an offroad bike and you`ll learn to control a bike in situations that will (on tarmac) kill you.

That learning takes place at ground level (pun intended) and saves metal and bones.

Aimed at riders on roads not tear always on trials bikes! I wouldn't presume to try and teach beginners or anyone else how to ride off road, totally different beast. Each to his or her own.

Pit - ( Carpe Diem - Stay in Bed )

Fwr - I didn't propose beginners ought to try at competition speed - sorry if my comment could be msunderstood.

What I tried to say is that offroad the bike does crazy things at speeds so slow that you still have time to regain control - and once you have "learned the ropes" the learned reflex actions might save your bones.

Looks like I'm better at falling off bikes than at writing in English.smiley - erm

As I said Pit, specialist stuff off road, speedway, motocross etc, wouldn't have a clue myself. Perhaps you could do an entry on how to stay upright doing what you mad people do on bikes?smiley - cheers

DON`T PANIC ! smiley - winkeye

Well.ok. Misunderstanding. You think "specialist" and I thought "allrounder".

As long as both of us say "keep the shiny bits up and your face above ground level" we sing the same song.smiley - hug

And lil - if I ever find a way to bolt your chariot to a motorbike you'll have the transport due to the Queen of Giggles. smiley - smooch
