Good grief!
Thanks for writing this truly fascinating entry! Having only recently read David Copperfield and Oliver Twist (among other works f CD), this wasn't exactly new to me, but it is still horrid to read all the gory details in a factual entry rather than in a story (even though I know that Charles Dickens knew what he was talking about).

Not a happy story by any means, but sadly a very true one for a lot of people - one that should not be forgotton and thankfully, due to Charles Dickens, won't be.

Yes, it is great that Charles Dickens used his fame to fight the good fight for those without a voice!
