A Conversation for Car Numberplate Spotting Game

Another game to play with number plates, especially on a long road to keep kids busy.
It's pretty simple.
First determine a batting order.
Scoring is done with the last number on a cars number plate. Usually only cars going in the oposite direction count.
The person batting must keep track of their own score. Add the number to current score, unless it's a zero, in which case you're out. Next person starts batting.
These rules will have to be amended for the number plate format of your country.
One innings is counted as everyone having batted once. If the next batsman is asleep, they can either be left with zero for that innings, since each person must keep track of their own score, or woken up. The rules for this depend on whether or not that person is winning.
The driver is allowed to ask someone to be a runner (or score keeper) for them since they're supposed to be watching the road, not the number plates. It's usually a good idea to ask someone trustworthy to do this though.
