So, so, so bad.

All that is wrong with this show can be summed up in one word: appearance. Every character has elaborate face paint and an elaborate costume. In a world that has no adults, and therefore no economy, how do the cosmetics and textile industries still survive? Maybe I am wrong, maybe like Cockroaches these vital industries can survive even a nucleaur winter -
God Bless CAPITALism! And all the Corporate
Whores who grow rich and fat off it, even near
extinction of the human race can't wipe it out.

Erm, you don't need an ecomony to have make up. Given that the virus has wiped the adults out very recently, I think it's fair to say that there would still be existent make-up etc. The kids we see mostly live in the city's shopping mall, and I'm sure raiding a single shop there could provide them with make-up to last many years. Certainly Brent Cross, my local shopping centre, would have enough make-up to last the local population aged 13-17 for several years.....

As to those beyond the mall, they tend more often to dress in accessories bent out of metal or feathers or whatever....

And when do they have time to put all their make up on in such elaborate detail? Why dos it never seem to smudge or alter? Since when are all kids expert at smearing cosmetics in perfect detail all over their face? Why the hell would you wear bent metal when you can as you suggested go in to a shop and nick any clothes they wish?

To even suggest that this program is a true representation of what would happen should all adults die is sheer niavety.

Oh God I'd never suggest that it was a true representation of anything! It's simply glorious nonsense! When do they have time? Well they never actually *do* anything, so they have plenty of time for make-up. They apparently don't bother with farming, water purification, whatever, so no time wasted with these petty things!

Actually, on a serious note, I think that one part of this *is* really interesting and sensible. It seems obvious to me that there *would* be plenty of food to go round if everyone over the age of 16 was suddenly wiped out. It may simply be indicative of current overpopulation, but the image given in typical post-disaster movies / shows is that of starvation and struggle, where the truth is that for a couple of decades they'd be sitting pretty with all the tinned goods...
