The use of the South Downs

The use of the south downs is much improved by the enforcement of the ban regarding to motorcycles. Not only do these cause much more erosion than the walkers and cyclers. They produce noise pollution and air pollution, which ruins the surroundings for the other people. Footpaths should be marked much better: currently some of them join and divide, halfway across fields, and unmarked. This causes walkers to stray off the path, causing damage to farmland and confusion to the walker. Perhaps as a national park it will be better?
