The F1 theme is stated as being a work called "Motor Sport" by Roger Barsotti which is purportedly adapted from "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac. It's actually the tail end of "The Chain" - the difference between the two is subtle but may be distinguished by listening to the sample of "Motor Sport" on http://www.amazon.com/Motorsport/dp/B003212624 where the discerning listener should notice a slight difference in arrangement and instrumentation to the original.
