"Em! Get back in here! I mean it; if you dont come out i will be mad at you." Quillethe Shouted. "Gah who would of thought that such a small baby could make so much noise."
Moose walked into the clearing. "Well I told you so, didn't I? I told you, that child is nothing but trouble. Halflings always are."
"Well I cant help it, I applied to the councel and all they said was that she's my problem. oh well." Quille sighed. The last ten years had been hectic. All she could do was to raise the child that she had named Serendipity or Em. But she never stayed still and her magic was developing at a startling rate. Em was still a strange child but what did Quillethe know about children. She had never met her mother.
Em rushed in and sat down. "What now, Quille, I wanted to talk to that chipmunk I saw-"
"Did you hear her, she wanted to talk to the blessed chipmunk. For sky's sake that child needs some discipline" But as normal Moose's rants and raves were ignored by Em and noted by Quille.
"Seredipity, If I call you, I mean to be answered, you have a visitor! Next time don't make me inforce it with magic.
"A visitor, for me? You are the only one that gets vistors. All those tall elves and that vampire! I dont get it" Em said, the suprise echoing through her voice.
Em ranthrough the forest, flitting through the trees as fast as she could. Thoughts tumbled through her mind, the strangness of the situation overwhelmed her. 'Why would a stranger want to take interest in a poor foundling? No one but the forests inhabitants knew about her and a couple of Quille's friends and she always kept Em pretty much out of sight. Em sighed. She knew that her guardian was keeping a secret from her, why else would she be so secretive. Quille was quiet but not this quiet.'
