I was once asked to take charge of the shop floor and get some of the others to help with some cleaning that needed doing.

I approached one of my co-workers and asked him to clean some of the counters, something which he knew fine well I was doing as well. He got angry about doing so and when the manager returned to the shop floor he asked how things had gone. I told him that I'd managed ok apart from this one worker who'd refused.

The manager talked to him about this and when I went on my next break he followed me to the staff room angrily and asked what ahd I said I said I was asked how things had gone when I was in charge and told the truth. He reacred by the metal step ladder and swinging it at me I got out of the way just in time but returned to the shop floor where there were other people present and missed my work.
