A Conversation for Great Footballers

Have you got any Frogs (other than Eric le roi)?

Hiya, smiley - smiley

The French generally regard Michel Platini to be their greatest ever player (in my experience).

But of course old Zizou is currently vying for that revered place in the Gallic collective consciousness.

Then there's Jean-Pierre Papin (commonly referred to as JPP), who did the business for Marseille in the early nineties (???), but tends to be overlooked at the international level coz France (along with England) didn't exactly light up the stage at that level in those days.

Any more... well, i'm no true connoisseur, but there are probly some from days a bit more of yore. Can't help there, i'm afraid. smiley - sadface

Sorry not to provide more material, but i thought at least Platini should get a mention.

No. 4 - Central Midfield 1

It seems as though silky-skilled creative midfielder Michel Platini could've thread the ball through the eye of a needle if he'd wanted. This ability, combined with superb ball-control, vision and a penchant for goalscoring makes Platini one of the greatest midfielders in footballing history.
