what's the worst that can happen?

This is more to do with being nervous about certain situations, which I suppose is a sort of lack of self-confidence.
Sometimes it helps to imagine what is the worst that can happen & think how you would deal with it. Then the reality may not be so bad. Practising relaxation or distracting techniques can also help.
what's the worst that can happen?

I was given this advice yesterday but I don't know if it's worked yet. At the new hospital I'm at everyone takes blood with more old fashioned things than the GP's where I used to be on placement. The first time I tried I couldn't get a vein and the second time I tried I was so nervous my hands shook very badly. So badly I had to stop and go and find a real doctor. (well I took the needle out first).
A nice surgeon took me through in great detail the worse that could happen, there are several things that could go wrong and they all ended with the same worse case senerios, the patient gets a nasty bruise.
I haven't had another chance to take blood since but I'm feeling fairly sure I can do it.
