Zarquon's Singing Fish!

In addition to the other things which have been written, writing down a list of the positive things in your life can be helpful, together with a list of your strengths.

Accentuate the positive!

You can also keep a book of abundance, in which you keep a journal of good things on a daily basis.

Being grateful for the good things in your life helps open up for more abundance.

'Acting as if' as I think someone else mentioned is also good. If you appear confident, people will assume that you are and treat you as a confident individual. Sometimes you might need to practice - talk to the mirror.

Regular excercise also helps. It also sharpens you mentally. Regular meditation is also good.

Bodywork can also help. It's said that your body is a sort of storage area of all your feelings and experiences. Massage, reflexology, rolfing, etc.

A book that helped me a lot a long time ago was Susan Jeffers' 'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. In my life I've given away at least 10 copies of the book to others. I particularly liked the noughts and crosses (tic tac toe) grid of your whole life where you put different pieces of your life in and see what areas you need to work on. If your whole life is your current relationship and your partner walks out, the hole is enormous, but if you've a balanced life then the hole is so much less. Similarly if your children are your hole life, etc.

If you need it, going into therapy can give you insights from which to work.

Another method is developing an optimistic viewpoint, not letting things bother you, not taking things personally (realising that it's their stuff, not yours), and tackling issues head on. They're often less scary when you tackle them than when you avoid them.

you get one life, live it well, be happy, try and make other people happy, see the postive in all you can....you are what you eat they say....if you put good fuel into your body it runs well....likewise everything you see and hear will make you the person you are...neurological programming (n.l.p)......as a 35 yr old with many a scar both physically and mentally, i feel that i have been given the gift of life and will proceed to write a thank you note for said gift for the rest of my years.......confidence is just a bi- product of positive thinking, and positive thinking is achieved by the food of life....eat pot noodle and live a pot noodle life....eat a nice fresh pasts dish with a nice bottle of Borollo and some good fresh bread and you will live like a good italian meal with table cloths and nice cutlery...........
...I saw a poem by an h2g2 writer called ~TWIsTED~ that says it all;
2I cried because i had no shoes untill i saw a man with no feet."

go-on.....accept the gift of life and all it has to offer.....maybe its just me, maybe we're all so different.........Enjoy.

Miss Tish

A little poem for this post:

Life & Death.

Life and death,
what's inbetween?
Take a breath,
what does it mean?
Simple truths?
Outrageous lies?
Misguided youth -
realise time flies.
Opportunities taken,
never to regret,
friends forsaken?
Never to forget.
Keep eyes open,
be blinkered not.
Keep heart unfrozen,
and care, a lot.
Love lost and won,
hearts broken in two,
but under the sun,
life comes to you.
Take small strides,
smile when you can.
Share and confide,
in fellow man.
With both hands take
this precious gift,
and encourage it to make
your spirit lift.

(May 2001)

Life .... enjoy it and respect it.
