Interesting entry Alji. Wonder if it would be worth mentioning St Augustine of Hippo. He lived with a mistress for many a long year although he seems to have dumped her rather unceremoniously in the end.
I've just caught a World Service broadcast about a ceremony in Japan where they carry large model phalluses round for a fertility ceremony. Organised religion seems to be very much divided into pro and anti sex. It seems to me to be a complete mess. Nevertheless I wish you luck if you're trying to say anything that applies generally. Rather you than me!
