Although I think this Entry gives some useful insight about the difficulties homosexuals continue to face in our (and many other) societies, I do not see the connection to sports in particular. Surely, the prejudice described in the Entry is valid for any given number of situations in everyday life and not specifically limited to sports. I will admit that the "testosterone-driven" sports scene tends to react even more strongly towards the gay community, but the prejudice and exaggerated fears you describe are found throughout society and confront anyone being openly gay in any type of profession or hobby.
Thus, I fail to see the justification for the title and would have chosen something more general like "Prejudice against homosexuality".
Too late anyway, since it's been edited already, but just my opinion.

Some of the issues raised in this are specific to the shower room and sports field. Admittedly a lot of the issues are general to homosexuals in particular and the issue such as coaching can be related to teaching. However dealing in one of the most homophobic environments going is often tough and it is good to know there are role models out there who do tough it out to be the best they can be dispite all the added pressure that is applied in the first place.
