I'd like to talk about the involvement of the Bulgarian nation in the anti-islamic hatred propaganda, concerning a penal trial of five Bulgarian nurses accused for innoculating the HIV virus to more than 400 children in Bengazi, Lybia.
Having Bulgarian cultural background I am very sad about the jailing of the Bulgarian nurses in Lybia.
However the simplist stereotyping and the vulgar Islam hatred propaganda is out of help. What is said by the Bulgarian and rare European media is that the detainees are innocent because prosecuted in an islamic state and under islamic laws.Nobody said more. This narrow-minded hatred brain-washing is firstly against the interests of the jailed, secondly it is not an adequate state position and thirdly it is not conformed to the Bulgarian Christian orthodox values.
As once the Bulgarian Patriarch has stated it, talking about the Bulgarian involvement in the war in Iraq. Somebody pretending to be from the Bulgarian political elite and having complexe about the difficult recruitment of the vollunteers for the "liberation of Iraq" has blamed the Bulgarian Church as "fucken Orthodoxy". Why? Because the Church understands that the myths about the "clashes of the civilizations" are a transparent mask of the failure of the neo-colonialism? Because the Orthodoxy recognizes that the people are souvreign possessers of their natural resourses? This is onother story.
About Lybia, this is almost the only state that recognizes the diploma from the Bulgarian medical institutes and among the rares states where the Bulgarians are not the slaves. "Modern slavery" is a term used by the West media to describe the situation of the foreign workers in the West. So the nurses weren't slaves and worked accordingly to their education. Why the human rights campaigners are not interested in the destiny of the slaves, or the gas intoxited in the Bulgarian town of Stara Zagora or the great number of the victims of the floods, still waiting for help? And the continuing genocide of the World Monetary Funds? The population is reduced by one third.
Only because these tragedies are not related to the myth of the "clashes of the civilizations"? This is ruthless.The propaganda brain washing is an opression either. Sometimes even worser than the colonial oppression, as the Lybia case reveals it.
