A fabulous and thorough review of the man's life and work - about time somebody paid attention to him! One very minor omission, as you do deal with the major films in his career, is "Where the Buffalo Roam"; essentially (as you know) a film version of Hunter S. Thompson's writing, made some 20 years before Terry Gilliam's vision. It is a small and probably insignificant film, but it might link off into other entires on Thompson or Gilliam.

Thank you. I was surprised that an entry hadn't already been written about him.
I had read about "Where the Buffalo Roam" and tried to track it down for a while, but didn't manage to find it. I'm not sure how I missed putting it into the entry.
