I had a friend who tried TM, but stopped going because the (what seemed to her) worshipping of Guru Dev made her feel uneasy... of course, this was just her personal impression, but the way she described what had happened, I tended to agree with her

I don't really think it's a personality cult though the recietation of a puja in frount of the picture of Guru Dev could make it seem like one. H owever he is dead and never sourght to seek publicity in his lifetime so it would hard to be seen as a personallity cult in praise of him.
