There are actually three different v/os for the series - the first episode has the one you mention, then there's the familiar one with Ed Bishop/Captain Blue, and then the other one has Donald Grey/Colonel White stating 'Captain Scarlet is indestructable - you are not! Do not try to imitate him!'
They must have had fears of hoards of kids wrestling snakes, standing in the middle of explosions and throwing themselves off tall buildings...

I couldn't believe it when I found out that the voice of the Mysterons was Colonel White-tee hee ! 
I was petrified of that voice...OK-I am petrified of that voice...
does anyone know who will be providing the voices in the cgi version of Captain Scarlet?
I'm hoping for Frankie M and Eddie B
