Well apparently there are no recorded attempted abductions of any member of the British monarchy. Probably because any other instances of the act might be classed as revolution or somehting else.

What about Richard II (I think) - he was abducted and died 'in agony with a spike up his bottom' (To quote the madman from the Money episode of BalckadderII).
There was all sorts going on with King Stephen and Matilda and I believe Richard the Lionheart needed ransoming upon his return from a crusade...
