thank you, thank you.

You have no idea how much this entry means to me.

I saw this programme back in the day and I was about 15yo and swallowed it hook, line and sinker. I never did find anyone else that saw it though and all these years later when I think back I wonder did I imagine it. I can remember being in the park the next day with my chums and asking had anyone seen it - and being met with blank stares.

When I was reading this I thought .... this might be it, all these years later but I was pretty sure I'd seen 'my' programme in the summer months so the reference to April fool was making me doubt that it was the right programme. Then right down the line you tell me it was broadcast in June. smiley - boing

Thank you, thank you, thank you for solving one of my life's mysteries.smiley - smooch

Oh - great entry by the way. smiley - applause

Its so good to have positive feedback for this entry. I vaguely remember seeing this programme too when I was about the same age as you. I decided to write this entry though after realising just what an impact the show has had on some people and how it has integrated itself into the world of conspiracy theories, even after all these years.

I should add the H2G2 editors and Lanzababy really pulled this entry together and their contributions made this entry work.

When I was 15 the whole world was just one big conspiracy and I still have a recreational liking for them. I'd even go so far as to say some of them may well have a grain of truth. That said I don't believe any of the common youtube conspiracies - but I do watch them and love the comments of the deranged - seriously scary.smiley - yikes

I think I loved this entry so much because a)I knew I'd saw some such tv programme, b)I knew it wasn't an April fool because it wasn't on in April (I distinctly remember the summer weather, and 1977 was a long hot summer), c)I have never had confirmation of any of the above until yesterday when I read the entry.smiley - boing

I was so happy to have the name of the programme I actually watched it yesterday evening - loved it - it was slightly different to what I remember but was similar enough to have been the same programme and I couldn't be happier about that. I find it hard to believe that it's had it's own conspiracy following all these years and I had to be led to it by you.smiley - rofl

Great job though, I can die happy now with all the 't's crossed and 'i's dotted, what a feeling! smiley - ta
