A Conversation for The Bow Drill - Fire without Matches!
Matches:Fire without back breaking labor!

I have made and used a bow and drill kit from scratch. One thing this article fails to mention is how much work actually has to go into learning how to use the kit and how much sweat it takes to get a fire going. Also the fact that the first few times you will most likely burn of the tips of your fingers and inhale an unholy amount of smoke in the process isn't mentioned. If you still want to learn how to do this then my advice is to find someone who is rather good at it and ask them for lessons, then prepare yourself for a good deal of work before your first coal or fire.
Just a heads up.
