This is an amazingly thorough and accurate description of that route! Thank you so much! I was there a few years ago and your article brought it all back as if I was walking it again! Now I am off to see if any of your other walks might inspire me to book a ticket and tour the rest of it!

Hello Clare
Thanks for letting me know that this brought back happy memories - I think it's a great walk. Are you from the Island, or go there often? I'd recommend the section by the Needles.

No, I am not from the island. I am an American. I was on a visit and my friend took me around a bit and that is one place we went. I love Great Britain, it has so much history.
This walking tour project of yours is wonderful! And a real legacy! A real contribution to humanity and its story!

Thanks for the very flattering comments. If you're ever in the UK again and have 4 or 5 days to go on a walking holiday, then I certainly recommend walking the Isle of Wight coastal path (although Hadrian's Wall is good too)

(It's also possible in just two days, though I wouldn't recommend it...)

And the Isle of Wight Walking Festival has an annual walk it all in 24-hours challenge, but I certainly wouldn't recommend that.
