I just moved to the Indianapolis, IN area and saw an episode of SECRET ARMY. The first thing I noticed was that the main character looked like the cafe owner from ALLO ALLO, and then I realized that his two bar maids looked like the two bar maids from the same show.
The story that I saw was the second to last story in the second series, the one in which the Communist cell man is betrayed to his death because he was seeking to take over the Lifeline cell at the cafe. It was a very gripping drama! But of course I started to realize that ALLO ALLO must have been a send-up of this show.
So I looked up any information I could find on the internet about SECRET ARMY and found this excellent site. What a tremendous synopsis and analysis. Thank you for your hard work and attention to detail.
SECRET ARMY is now airing on Saturday nights on WTBU (Butler University) in the Indianapolis area. I really hope that WTBU will air it all over again so that I can see the first two seasons.
Best wishes,
