Actually as I understand it Arcturus is actually 37 ly away. Light from it was used to open the 1933 worlds fair because it was believed that the light we saw that year had come from Arcturus at the time of the previous worlds fair in 1893. Of course they were wrong because the time difference between 1893 and 1933 is 40 yrs, not 37. Which just goes to prove that even the professional astronomers can make a mistake.lol.
