A Conversation for The Romantic Novels of Georgette Heyer

Hi

I am taking a small bet with myself on who is editing this one... Anna or Sam (or are you going to surprise me and tell me it is someone else?)

I noticed an error in one of my footnotes. Bonnie Prince Charlie did not try to invade Scotland and England, he actually *did* invade them. I am sorry about that.

It might be worth noting that although only half a dozen or so of her books are in print in the UK at the moment Gorgette Heyer has a large following in the US and there are many societies for those interested in her works.

I have also put a couple of useful links in the conversation on this page about The Conquerer which would be worth including as links.

Finally, Faro's Daughter is not actually a Regency novel; it is on the cusp between the days of powder and patches and the Regency.

All the best

B

Actually this one is me! smiley - smiley

You seem to have got the short straw again.... smiley - winkeye

I've added all of the details here and from the other conversation. The second link you provide, however, no longer works. If you have another, just let me know.

Thanks for a great piece.

Ashley

It all looks good to me, Ashley.

re: The second link - I only found it with a 40 second search on Google, leave it out. Hootooers should be able to manage to google as well.
