Worth mentioning that by the time someone with meningitis develops a rash they will have been very ill for a while. The rash is a sign that they are actually bleeding into the tissues and are hence quite likely to die very very soon. So it's good to recognise the other signs of the disease and get the individual to a hospital quickly. Very quickly!
