I thought back back to when i first read these books, I dont understand why it is Thomas the Tank Engine when there are so many engines around. Did the author start with Thomas and keep expanding his thoughts about how many engines there were going to be? Another thing I NEVER understand, (and used to get quite upset about when younger) is where do the other engines sleep? They dont all fit into the shed.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
