Hi, just a note to say I really enjoyed your article on the Tasaday Tribe. It's a fascinating story. It's amazing to think that someone could actually plan such a hoax, and more amazing that it could be successfully carried out, with the co-operation of others, for a time at least. It raises lots of issues as well, about our role in giving aid to the developing world but at the same time exploiting other cultures or 'keeping them down' in order to meet our own needs. We humans are such strange creatures! I look forward to reading your articles on Creationism and evolution theory. I'm not sure I understand Scientific Creationism, but I reckon you'll explain it through these articles. As for myself, I favour scientific explanations. But science doesn't know all the answers. Scientists propose the best ideas they can think of to explain the facts as they understand them. But that only lasts until the next idea comes along, or new facts come to light. I feel that scientific explanations of our origins will gradually come closer to spiritual explanations. When we finally know ALL the facts, at the end of eternity, we'll discover that Creationism and science never really contradicted each other at all. The problem all along was that we just couldn't see. Anyway, I can't read those at the moment, but I'll definitely come back to them.
Cheers, Alastair

A brilliant article - liked the points raised in the closing paragraphs too.
Not something that gets mentioned very often, when people talk about "preserving" tribal cultures.
