Hi! Great entry. I do wanna mention, though, that Sesame Street was not created by Jim Henson or the Jim Henson Company. It was, in fact, created in 1969 by the Children's Television Workshop (now called the Sesame Workshop), the same organization that would later go on to produce other educational children's programs in the USA such as "The Electric Company," "3-2-1 Contact," and "Square One." Jim Henson might best be described as an "outside contractor," whose Muppet creations do indeed play a well-recognized role in the series.
