Sorry to intrude, but I think the part with the rules obeyed in the Roadrunner cartoons came almost directly from his biography, "Chuck Amok". I don't know if that's where it originated, but if it did it should be attributed.

All the quotes from Jones and the 'Rules' came directly from Chuck Amuck. I don't know how that one got passed us both, actually.
It's a fine book, and I'd love to be able to recommend it, but, naturally, it'ds out of print...
