A Conversation for The 'Claim to Fame' Game

This is also a great game to play at a kids residential holiday, as it is what's known as a KALP - Kids Active, Leaders Passive. Ideal for those times towards the end of the week when the leaders are exhausted.
In this case, it's played slightly differently. Each leader supplied a claim to fame or crazy fact about themselves, and moves off to a different place (nice bench in the sunshine, comfy sofa, shade of a tree...) around the site. The kids are then put into small teams and given a sheet with all the claims to fame on them. Suddenly the kids become very competitive and must race around at super-speed asking 'Did your left-hand side appear on the channel 4 news?' or Have you had your trousers pulled down in front of 200 people?' They are not allowed to ask the same person two questions in a row, so if the leaders spread themselves out thinly enough, you end up with lots of exhausted kids who know lots of bizarre things about the leaders.
David - for whom the answer to both of the above questions is yes

Hi David, thanks for posting.
What a great way to do the game. It was one of those things which was born from necesity. I had a party where no-one knew anyone else, so I had to get a way of making people talk to each other. It worked fabulously. I knew it was too good an idea to have been original!
I trust that the trouser incident and the c4 news incident weren't one and the same!
Welcome to h2g2. Have fun here. There is much odder stuff in the guide than the Claim to Fame Game.

Thanks.
You're quite right - the C4 news and the trouser incident are unrelated. One assumes the news has a higher audience than 200
I've only been here a short time and already I'm amazed at the range of stuff in the Guide. Best trundle off and find some more, I suppose...

Oops - not sure where that hyperlink came from... Wasn't me, honest!

It is because of the short-codes and relative addresssing to pages. Thus the band U2 becomes a hyperlink, same way that U148580 (which is my U-Space) becomes a hyperling.
Confusing, but very nifty.
Have fun!
