A Conversation for The Films of the Coen Brothers
Fractured Fairy Tales

I find that most of their movies are best taken as modern fairy tales. Especially the rampant symbolism and the surrealistic quality of their film making style. "Hudsucker" even has a narrator to give it that 'once upon a time' feel. There's always a lesson to be learned and a moral at the end just like in fairy tales, and "Fargo" is worthy of the Brothers Grimm themselves.
Want to give your brain a drug-free trip? Watch "Barton Fink" and "Mulholland Drive" back to back - fun!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
