I think you have been a bit harsh on Raimi. He did make 'A Simple Plan', which was a bloody good film, even though with the all the snow and corpses piling up in the backwoods it bore more than a little resemblance to one other film I could mention.

I agree, Raimi deserves more respect.......
He did get a writing credit on the Hudsucker Proxy, which is my personal favourite Coen Bros......
And Army of Darkness is a triumph

A Simple Plan is on UK TV tonight, I'll take a look. People ('specially me gf) keep telling me Spiderman is good too.
I trust you did read the footnotes, of course ...
