Hi Giford,
I´ve started to browse your PS. And I´ve gone outright to click this link-entry.
I love the genre since I first read comics at 17. Then novels and films. I like very much those and many other writers you have mentioned. What about Asfalt Jungle?
I´ve missed in your entry a political mention about what those novels showed.I have always thought that they were a hard criticism against the capitalist system, the American Dream...etc.
It´s late now, five minutes past midnight.
I´ll come back to your PS. It promises good reading
Un saludo

Hi M,
Thanks!
Yes, for sure some films noir had a political tone - 'Force of Evil' springs to mind as particularly anti-capitalist. But quite a few didn't (that I can see).
And yes, there are many, many great films that aren't mentioned in the article!

Hi Giford, I write here because I don´t want to show my thick understanding, at least this morning, so much.
I feel because I don´t know Why have you written my name above a quotation that doesn´t belong to me. I thought first that it was a mistake and them that , it had to do with my words... but... I can´t work out the reason you have put that quotation and my name. I know it has to do with what I´ve said about my wormate and my family but I´m not very sure.
Sorry but I´d love to read again that post, in a more simple way. But don´t do it if you don´t feel like it. It´s not your duty poor English-language- or thick-ed minded people like me

Please, forget the previous post.
The last time I addressed you I was a bit too happy because of beers,( I told you you were an adict philosopher and something else. Now, under the effects of a slight hangover I adress to you again... I should think twice before I write.
but you are patient aren´t you?

Hi Mar,
By strange coincidence, I called Mu Beta 'Mar' because I also was happy from too many !
Nothing more to it, I promise!
