A Conversation for History of Chemistry - Acids and Bases
Good basic stuff :-)

Funnily enough - in Denmark, the theory is just called the "Brøndsted" theory... (at least it was in my chemistry books)
I used to be a lot better at this - in high school, I actually drew "weak acids and bases" as my exam question and had next-to-top mark after the 20-min stunt at the blackboard...
Never heard about such wild acids though (I guess the wildest thing I've come across is HF) - sounds like they'll be hard to contain...
Good basic stuff :-)

IIRC: HF isn't even such a strong acid (at least not in water). The problem is the Fluoride which attacks glass, and is devilishly hazardous.
Cheerio,
