Brilliant entry, couldn't have said it better.
He & Enid Blyton have been, since i could read (& actually, still are) my favourite authors.
With slightly different results, my life has resembled both of them i suppose...both have vastly influenced generations with their writing.
I was not aware of him having a drink problem; ah well; these things happen, probably a result of too many coconut shells of Strange Grog from the Fon of Bafut!
