Not in very good nick though; so don't get too jealous!

It's still better than the disintegrating Penguin edition I have...

Wonder if there is still actually a Fon of Bafut? I suspect Bafut is now simply Cameroon; no doubt Idy aspires to be the next Fon, reckon he would be delighted at the prospect of 40 wives bearing calabashes of....actually; i wouldn't mind it myself; his lifestyle sounds eminently sensible.

Somewhere or other I have an account of the modern Fon; it's probably in Dervla Murphy's 'Cameroon with Egbert'. That's in the other room, and I can't reach it from here...

So it is! I've just been talking to God, but he won't let me copy & paste. We had an interesting discussion; i told him Jesus was actually incredibly pi**ed off 'cos in fact she was a victim of gender reassignment; all she ever wanted was to be known as Jessie.

Ask Mary & that daft git Joseph. Gabriel however; well, you can understand what made Mary go for it. Then there's all those donkeys...really; i am shocked at times. As Jessie would say "it makes me quite"
