A Conversation for Ammonites
Thank you and memories!

As a child I remember visiting the beaches at Southerndown and Nash Point on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and being fascinated by the ammonites, and other fossils, captured within the rocks there. I also remember marvelling at a huge specimen, some 3 or 4 feet in diameter on the top of a rock-fall. I still spend all my time when visiting these places today, searching the rocks for ammonites and other fossils, as eagerly as I did when a child, and equally being as amazed, if not even more so, when I find them!
The humble ammonite is responsible for my life-long fascination with fossils and rocks, though not a career.
I thank you for bringing these memories back fresh and clear in this well written and researched topic!
Congragulations!
