On Mac OS 8.5 or higher with a U.S. keyboard layout, the Euro character is created by pressing Option-Shift-2. On a British keyboard layout, it's Option-2. For other keyboard layouts, you can (as the entry indicates) find it using the Key Caps utility, which is in the Apple menu in systems prior to Mac OS X, and in the Utilities subfolder of the Applications folder on your hard drive on Mac OS X or above.
