Thursdays have always been pretty good to me, ye, so I will stick with them for now until a better alternative comes along, this Thing idea does not have any good points unto now.

I've made lots of stuff for the Campaign, but I'm having problems publicising it... It just needs to get moving, and then it should start gaining speed.

Okay - I'll say the following for now, but I'll get together a manifesto soon:

The Campaign is to keep the day of the week Thursday as it is, and not have it renamed "Thing". The Thingites also want to rename the other days of the week, and consider the word Thursday to be blasphemous.

The renaming of Thursday campaign started thus:


Somebody said: 'I don't like Thursdays'
ShazzPRME said: 'I've always had an ambition to re-name Thursday "Thing"'
Acidbath said: 'Cool! in this glorious campaign I should want to be a Grand Vizier.'

For a long time this idea went unchallenged in h2g2, and those who opposed were quickly converted. But this was only because there was no alternative for them to choose.

I think this Thing business has gone far enough, and so I have started a rival faction.

They want to call it Thing, I want to call it Thursday.
They have their s, I have my .

The number of members of the Thingite movement may seem a great obstacle, but there are many, many more people in h2g2 who aren't Pro-Thing.

So - if you want signing up, then wander over to http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/U1127621 and post to the Become a Thursdayite thread. You can add a message to have shown next to your name on the Members List - this can be changed whenever you want.
