A Conversation for Some Tips on How to Fix Doors

What about doors that rub..hmmm?

Some doors stick because they are rubbing. Throwing the hinges, jacking the frame, and whacking the offending area with a big rubber mallet are three possible solutions that can be applied before calling a pro.
But, WHATEVER you do; do NOT sand or plane the offending area. The house may have adjusted to seasonal changes and will go back when the extremes have changed back to the norms. Sanding or planing the itchey spot will just make the carpenter's job easy in that they will simply have you purchase a new door to replace the old one, it's usually cheaper than fixing one that has been b******d up by a well intentioned, but slightly thumby, home owner.
Good luck.

I must agree with you about the seasonal changes of a house but sometimes, sanding works well.
