h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Got dumped today after 8 months with this girl. She cited having too hectic a life to keep it going, she has 3 kids, 2 of which live with her. We usually got together once or twice a week for a meal, a movie, some drinks or whatever. I got an email this afternoon telling me it was over, it's not you it's me...a few good cliches in there but I can honestly say I am gutted, hurting really bad. I felt we could go somewhere...

For a tall guy in his early 30's I can't understand why I am blubbering like a child.

Well it's happened to me at the weekend. 9 months. The worst thing for me is the guilt I feel for not making it work, for not treating her well enough to make it work.

I can't eat, can't work, can't sleep .... I'm a mess. Taken up smoking today for the first time in years. I'm 42 and really haven't got it in me to start all over again. Thought I'd found the right girl there for a while.
