Thompson Coupling - a new constant velocity universal joint
Simon-Purser Started conversation Nov 29, 2006
A great article on CV joints. Members might be interested to know about the Thompson Coupling, a CV joint which looks a bit like a Hooke's joint but transmits no vibration. Unlike a CV joint it can transmit an axial force (ie can joint a helicopter prop to the body of a helicopter)but needs no rubber boot to keep out dust or keep lubricant in. Check out their website cvcoupling.com for more info.
