A suggestion- Instead of "Elizabeth's dedication brought her fame and Ladies Committees started up as far away as Germany and Russia,"
why not "Elizabeth's dedication brought her fame and Ladies Committees started up as far away as Germany, Russia and Canada."
Canada is far away (from the U.K.) and we have the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies! www.elizabethfry.ca
Just a thought! 
As for bank notes, we only have former Canadian Prime Ministers and Queen Elizabeth II on ours. Maybe we should campaign for other prominent Canadians like Terry Fox or Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode II -The Attack of the Clones")! Something to consider...

By the way, I really like the entry and think its just fine without Canada being mentioned!

As for the link, I was stil trying to figure out how to put links into my posts when I wrote it so it's not "clickable". It worked for me when I typed it into my browser though. Does this work? Hope so! Cheers!
