A Conversation for Mobile Phones and Aircraft
Faraday cages...

I've always wondered if they could just jam mobile phones from public transport vehicles - planes, trains and buses - by building a wire mesh into the fuselage skin. This would make a Faraday cage and hence block a mobile from receiving or making calls.
My mobile won't work in a lift for example...
Is this not possible?

Obviously, the cage would not include the cockpit of a plane in such as scenario.
