i'm intrigued Biryani...
can you explain the situation in sheffield w.r.t. the buses?
They used to be run by sheffield corporation and the service was the envy of the entire country, cheap and on-time.
i understand they were privatised and spiralled downhill as several small companies were running them.
What has happened since then, and who is '1st Bus'?

yes sir, born and raised.
left when i was 22.
if it was the rain that made me leave, then i ended up in the wrong place...Florida is in the tropics and we're in the 'rainy season' now.
Personally, i blame Margaret Thatcher ...(not for the weather!) England was pretty dark in those days.
Alec.
nice to meet you too

gosh, no.
i finally left in 78.
check my space for a brief biography.
we've lived in Florida for the last 13years.
I miss my home town a lot, but i gather that it no longer exists in the way that i remember the place.
The last time i was home was in 95. The 'egg-box' was still standing and there were no trams.
I used to go to the Black Swan when Joe Cocker and the Grease Band were the Friday night house band.
I'm sure that i went to Manor / Arbourthorne a few times to see the Frank White Band.
