got a toastie maker? easy pies are coming your way! step 1 Ready rolled puff pastry step 2 any old left-overs lurking in your abode step3 pre-heat yer toastie machine, slap on the pie base, then the filling, then the lid. Step 3 The Hard bit-wait (dont clip the handle down-you want your pastry to rise and expand) and finally (timings kinda trial & error) you have your ickle pie As for fillings p-nut butter & cooked chicken/quorn, jam, toast toppers, tuna & cheese the list is endless!

Does some brave soul out there know enough tricks, tips and finer points of the toastie-maker chef's craft to warrant an entire article?
I for one would welcome some further suggestions for the employment of this most excellent device.

did you ever make beefburgers using a flat plate toastie maker.
this is a very cheap meal if done right and has the added benefit that everybody who lives on the same corridoor as you in halls comes down top the kitchen to see what smells so nice, you dont let them have any and they all think you are a great cook
