Momento

dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC

This type of memory loss is used as the central plot device in the film "Momento". After suffering a head injury, the main character cannot convert his short term memories to long term, and so forgets everything that happened in the last few minutes. The film brilliantly mimics the disorder, so the audience gets a taste of what is like to not know what just happened.

Great entry, and very interesting.
