Only 200 adults were left in the UK in July'10, and no hybrids bred in Spain in 2009. Only two adult ducks were recorded in Spain since January'09. Defra extended the programme on to March'11.
On 1/3/11 the BBC reported 120 ducks left in the UK.
That initial escape from captivity proved rather expensive. £3.3m. Wonder who left the gate open.
